Hi and Namaste, from me. THE ORIGINAL LOTUS BEAR. No I am not hibernating. I am meditating in the classic Hatha Yoga pose called The Lotus.
I like to sit like this to meditate because it makes me feel very strong and balanced. My back is straight and my shoulders are relaxed, making it easy to take deep breaths. I keep my legs crossed and let my arms gently rest down by my knees. It took me a little practice to get comfortable sitting like this but now I love it! I feel relaxed and wide-awake at the same time.
Yoga has been around for over 5,000 years so there is a lot to learn. I hope we can keep learning together. One thing I am of sure of: You are never too young or too old to start practicing Yoga or to become friends with me THE ORIGINAL LOTUS BEAR!
